NABERS is well known in the building industry for providing robust training and accreditation processes. We understand the importance of helping Assessors keep up to date, as well as encourage sustainability professionals to consider getting a NABERS accreditation.

NABERS launches a new state-specific training course for planners and sustainability professionals

The free and self-paced course introduces NABERS sustainability ratings and its products, including the Embodied Carbon tool, Renewable Energy Indicator, Commitment Agreement and the Agreement to Rate. The course explains how different sustainability rating tools work, their integration into planning, and their role in promoting the construction of lower emission buildings. The course also provides an overview of the National Construction Code (NCC) verification methods, how to achieve compliance with development applications and the NCC, and how to set realistic rating targets.

The training course is currently available for Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria, and includes localised information on building codes, permits and compliance.

NABERS launches new courses to continue building capacity in the sustainability space. 

NABERS has launched a new course to assist Assessors and anyone with an interest in sustainability to learn practical techniques for improving their ability to influence and motivate others to implement sustainability initiatives. Named ‘Influencing Sustainability outcomes in the Built Environment’, this engaging free course is entirely online, so it is convenient and easy to complete.

The course also provides useful information on Energy and Water efficiency measures, as well as a valuable toolkit to learn about NABERS ratings.
