NABERS is now inviting Expressions of Interest from organisations interested in becoming the new NABERS UK Scheme Administrator.
NABERS UK was launched in November 2020 through the industry-backed and funded Design for Performance initiative and provides reliable and comparable sustainability measurement for commercial buildings in the United Kingdom (UK), which account for approximately 18% of the country's total carbon footprint.
The Scheme has gathered significant momentum since its launch in the UK, with the support of many commercial property owners, major industry bodies and the supply chain. Over 270 people are NABERS UK trained, with 83 licensed Assessors. Additionally, NABERS UK is integrated into numerous industry standards and guidance documents.
The scheme administrator is responsible for the management of all aspects of the NABERS UK Scheme. This includes delivering the product offerings currently available under the NABERS UK product suite: Design for Performance and NABERS Energy for Offices.
Details of the Expression of Interest (EOI) process are outlined in our EOI briefing document. Organisations are invited to register their interest for a virtual briefing with the NABERS team by emailing Melissa Craig, Policy and Partnerships Manager at melissa.craig@environment.nsw.gov.au.
The deadline for written submissions using the NABERS EOI Response Form is 17:00 GMT Friday 3rd November.
